Independent Study 

Fall 2013

This fall I was challenged with the opportunity to be in an independent study at my college, The University of Georgia. For those who don't know, an independent study is exactly what it sounds like. I set my own goals for the semester and had to reach them without a teacher pushing deadlines and such on my already busy schedule. I enjoyed this aspect greatly and was happy with the results! The theme I picked dealt with portraits of people that somehow related to the background I chose to photograph them in. I began to realize I have certain tendencies to align my subjects with the background in interesting ways. Once I made these decisions deliberately I started having a lot of fun with it. I hope you enjoy them as well!
